Autonomous Flight Technologies, Inc follows any and all current FAA guidelines and or laws. As stated in our exemptions during flight operations all FARS required in the NAS are strictly followed.
Currently, the FAA is not issuing any private licenses to operate a UAV/UAS for commercial use, they do offer exemptions Under AFT's FAA approved exemption we also specialize in UAS training. We can help your business acquire the proper training and information to obtain a section 333 exemption . However, if you are a Public Agency on any level we can help obtain a Certificate of Wavier or Authorization (COA). Considering our aircraft we specialize in generally operate below 400' AGL and with in "line of site" chase planes should not be required. VFR will be conducted via a spotter and pilot.
On a hobbyist level it is completely legal to operate all autonomous flight vehicles under FAA AC 91-57 regulations
Most equipment on our aircraft have the capabilities to transmit both video and audio signals via the airwaves. In most US states and Territories operating these devices require the pilot to have a HAM license from the FCC. Please contact your state's local FCC office and inquire about obtaining the license before transmitting. AFT complies with all FCC guidelines and or laws.
Entering a contract with AFT constitutes your agreement that you have both read and agree to all terms.
